The 91免费福利网 will offer 15 classes in the Winter Intersession Term from Dec. 11 through Jan. 10, offering students a chance to earn extra credit hours during the winter break.
The classes, which count towards students鈥 course-load requirements for scholarships, will meet Dec. 11-13 and 16-20 and Jan. 2-3 and 6-10. Nine of the course offerings meet from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., and six meet from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Students enrolled in a course must attend all class sessions.
Julie Mosley of Fort Smith, director of student advisement and career planning, said the classes were a great way for students to 鈥済et ahead鈥 on their degree plan.
鈥淭hese are great classes for students that may need additional scholarship hours or for students that want to accelerate their studies in an attempt to graduate sooner,鈥 she said.
Courses offered from 9 a.m. until noon are Principles of Financial Accounting, Biological Science, Computer Applications for the Knowledge Worker, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, American National Government, Medical Terminology, Developmental Psychology: A Life Span, Introduction to Speech, and Probability and Statistics I.
Classes offered from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. are Computer Applications for the Knowledge Worker, Introduction to Philosophy, General Psychology, First Aid, Introduction to Speech, Legal Aspects of Law Enforcement, and United States History I.
Tuition and fees for the intersession are due at the time of registration. Web registration is available for these classes until midnight on Dec. 10. Current students who are interested in taking intersession courses should contact their adviser. Prospective and returning students should visit with admissions about the process of being admitted or readmitted to the university and then see an adviser to discuss registration.
