The 11th annual NUMA Awards ceremony held April 25 recognized advisers, students and student organizations that have made a positive impact on the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith campus.
The NUMAs honor student organizations working to improve campus life, in addition to students who embody outstanding leadership skills within those organizations.
Also awarded during the NUMAs awards program are Chancellor's Spirit Awards, given to students who excel academically, have an established long-term record of service in leadership and membership roles on campus, have made a significant impact on campus co-curricular life, display a strong sense of school pride and spirit and utilize an ethical leadership style that is an example for others to follow.
Winners were:
Clarksville: Yazmin Gamez, SGA Representative of the Year.
Fort Smith: Curtis B. Adams III, Chancellor鈥檚 Spirit Award; Stephanie London, NUMAs Award for Outstanding Adviser of the Year; and Rasila Soumana Hama, NUMAs Award for Outstanding Student Leader of the Year.
Mansfield: Jasmine Hattabaugh, Chancellor鈥檚 Spirit Award.
Phi Beta Lambda received Outstanding Student Organization of the Year, and Pinnacle Honor Society was named the Outstanding New Student Organization of the year.
The Student Alumni Association received the Legacy Maker Award, and the Outstanding Community Service Organization of the Year went to Collegiate Middle Level Association. Sigma Nu Fraternity took home the Intramurals All Sports Cup.
